Tech Race Summit 2026 Run-up: An Honest Interview with SOFTSWISS CTO
SOFTSWISS CTO Speaks Candidly on AI Hype, Tech Race, and Why the Room Matters More Than the Stage
In July, iGB announced a media partnership between SOFTSWISS and World Gaming for the Tech Race Summit 2026, scheduled for September. Recently, Margaret Dunn, portfolio director at WorldGaming, interviewed Sergey Kastukevich, chief technology officer at SOFTSWISS, as a primer for both Tech Race and ICE Hall 7. The two also shared their perspectives on the evolution of artificial intelligence in the iGaming industry.
Tech Race Summit 2026 takes place on 10 September in Warsaw. The event gathers experts working on the technology that powers today’s digital businesses.
Tech Race Aims to Fill a Gap in the Industry
According to Kastukevich, the Tech Race Summit is filling a genuine void. While he has seen plenty of business-focused conversations in iGaming, there is almost no dedicated space for engineering and technology discussions. The event is positioned as knowledge-sharing infrastructure for the industry, rather than a SOFTSWISS sales platform.
With SOFTSWISS acting as host rather than presenter, the focus remains on where senior technologists believe the industry should direct its investment and attention over the next six to twelve months.
Two Events, One Movement
Dunn noted that ICE saw the same demand last year, featuring the Innovator Challenge alongside Microsoft and keynotes from companies such as AWS and Huawei. This year, the team is responding with a new initiative called Hall 7. The launch of Hall 7 provides a stronger platform to drive the next phase of iGaming innovation.
Tech Race in Warsaw this September and Hall 7 at ICE in Barcelona this January are set to become sequential chapters of the same conversation. CTOs, CSOs, and data leaders can expect to pick up where they left off four months later. Both events are betting on the same idea proving useful for the industry: gathering a room full of exactly the right people together beats chasing them individually across the globe.
Is AI a Pure Buzzword?
Tune in now to hear Dunn’s and Kastukevich’s honest views on AI in the iGaming industry.
