Soft2Bet Brings Player Experience Academy Back to SBC Summit 2026

A Half-Day Program Focused on Engagement, Retention, and Compliance

Soft2Bet has announced that its Player Experience Academy will return to the SBC Summit in 2026, following a successful debut. The second edition of the half-day program is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, from 13:30 to 17:00 at Sala Tejo, MEO Arena. It will once again be part of the SBC Summit’s Education+ track, targeting senior decision-makers with practical frameworks for improving player engagement, retention, and compliance.

Operator-focused education has become an increasingly prominent feature at major iGaming trade events, as suppliers compete to position their platforms as sources of both commercial and compliance expertise. The Academy’s return underscores this trend.

Second Edition Builds on Record Demand

Soft2Bet says the Academy is returning after record demand at its inaugural edition last year. The new program is designed to give senior decision-makers actionable strategies for enhancing player experience while staying aligned with compliance frameworks across competitive markets.

The half-day session will bring together industry leaders and commercial decision-makers for expert-led sessions covering research, behavioral science, and the commercial application strategies behind player engagement and retention.

From Theory to Practice: Behavioral Design and Retention Frameworks

The program covers behavioral design, player psychology, personalization, and retention frameworks. Through expert talks, panel discussions, demonstrations, and practical workshops, participants will learn how to convert product strategy into tangible business impact.

Soft2Bet notes that the second edition focuses on combining commercial insight with product expertise across both casino and sportsbook operations.

Lessons from Outside iGaming

Rasmus Sojmark, founder and CEO of SBC, commented: “Some of the most effective engagement mechanics in iGaming came from outside the industry. Video games, retail, and entertainment have shown how missions, progression systems, battle passes, and personalized rewards build stronger and more lasting customer relationships.”

Sojmark added: “This Academy will explore how operators can adapt those ideas while recognizing the industry’s regulatory responsibilities. Delegates will look at what can be borrowed, what needs to change, and how gamification can support engagement without compromising player protection.”

Focus on Execution

David Yatom Hay, general counsel at Soft2Bet, said: “The second edition of the Player Experience Academy is designed to move beyond theory and focus on execution. It will provide the frameworks, insights, and strategies needed to create stronger player engagement, improve retention, and generate measurable commercial results.”

Summit Context and Industry Growth

Soft2Bet frames the Academy against the SBC Summit’s own growth trajectory. Attendance rose from 25,000 in 2024 to more than 30,000 in 2025. The company argues that sustainable growth requires more than scaling operations—pointing to mentoring and shared industry knowledge as equally important objectives.

Further program details, speaker announcements, and registration information will be released in due course.
