Scarlet Pearl Casino Goes Pink in Memory of Dolly Parton

Casino Pays Tribute to Country Music Icon

Dolly Parton, the beloved Queen of Country, has passed away. Known worldwide for her music and her extensive philanthropic work, Parton became an enduring American icon. To honor her life and achievements, the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort has launched a special pink tribute, illuminating its property in her signature color.

Scarlet Pearl Joins Other Venues in Honoring Parton

The Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D’Iberville, Mississippi, is the latest gaming venue to celebrate Dolly Parton’s legacy. The property has turned pink, lighting up its rooftop sign with a vibrant pink glow. The tribute also extends to the porte cochere, making the display visible to all arriving guests.

A short video from the casino’s rooftop shows the Scarlet Pearl sign glowing pink, underscoring the resort’s commitment to honoring Parton’s remarkable legacy. Casino officials praised Parton as a true “Pearl of the South,” highlighting her contributions to country music and her wide-ranging charitable efforts.

The pink lights at Scarlet Pearl will remain lit through September 30.

Scarlet Pearl is not alone in its tribute. In South Florida, several gaming properties have also lit up in pink to say goodbye to the legend. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, for example, turned its iconic guitar-shaped building pink, displaying an effect that showcased Parton’s signature butterfly design.

Parton’s Planned Las Vegas Residency

Dolly Parton was no stranger to performing at casino and resort venues. Over her career, she performed at numerous Las Vegas locations, including the Riviera Hotel and The Mirage. She had also scheduled a residency at Caesars Palace, which was to include six concerts.

Unfortunately, health complications led Parton to cancel the residency. The six shows were originally set to take place from September 17 to 26, 2026. Ticketmaster has confirmed that customers who purchased tickets through its platform will receive refunds within two to three weeks.

A Lasting Legacy of Music and Giving

Dolly Parton’s story continues to inspire millions. Born into poverty in rural Tennessee, she made swift strides in the music industry, becoming a professional performer at just 16. Her hit song Jolene remains an all-time classic, winning numerous awards over the decades.

Beyond music, Parton’s philanthropic impact is profound. Her Dollywood Foundation has supported countless children in her home county, and the Imagination Library program—launched in 1995—has provided children with a free, age-appropriate book each month, fostering a love of reading for generations.
