Rothera Teaming Up With Stats Perform on Sports Derivatives Data, Settlement

Rothera Partners with Stats Perform for Sports Derivatives Data and Settlement

Rothera Selects Stats Perform as Key Data Provider

Rothera, the prediction market joint venture between Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ: HOOD) and Susquehanna International Group, has announced a strategic partnership with Stats Perform. The data provider will serve as the exchange’s official source for sports event contract data and settlement. This agreement will support the creation, trading, and settlement of sports event contracts across Rothera’s trader-facing exchange and its associated clearing platform.

The announcement comes as college football enters Week 1 this weekend and just ahead of the 2026 NFL season — a period expected to be pivotal for sports-heavy yes/no prediction exchanges.

Agreement Details and Data Services

Under the terms of the partnership, Rothera will receive live game results, scheduling information, and aggregated market data from Stats Perform. According to an official statement, “Stats Perform provides metric values required to settle contracts, which is a critical element of Rothera’s self-certification process used to manage the event contract lifecycle through its exchange.” Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Robinhood and Susquehanna launched Rothera in November of last year. Since then, it has rapidly become one of the fastest-growing prediction markets in the United States, with a significant portion of its volume tied to sports derivatives.

Initial Focus on Major Sports Leagues

The data agreement will initially cover event contracts on college and professional football, the NBA, men’s and women’s college basketball, ATP and WTA tennis, and Formula 1. The partnership highlights the growing demand for reliable sports data as institutional participation in event contract markets rises.

“As institutional participation in event contract markets continues to grow, Rothera is focused on expanding the regulated exchange and clearing infrastructure needed to support that demand,” the press release states. “Access to accurate, reliable sports data is an important part of that effort, to support clearly defined contracts, transparent markets and objective settlement.”

The Rise of Combos and Parlay-Style Wagers

Rothera’s collaboration with Stats Perform arrives at a time when sports derivatives still account for as much as 80% or more of turnover on some of the largest domestic prediction markets. The need for dependable sports data has become even more critical as combos — or parlay-style wagers — emerge as growth engines for all-or-nothing exchanges.

Recent estimates show that multi-leg bets, nearly all of which focus on sports, made up half of contract volume on U.S. prediction markets last month. That figure is more than triple the percentage seen just six months earlier.

Wall Street Optimism on Robinhood’s Prediction Market Growth

Although Rothera operates as a separate entity from Robinhood, Wall Street analysts remain bullish on the impact of prediction markets on the company’s stock. In a report released Tuesday, Morgan Stanley analyst Michael Cyprys upgraded the financial services stock to “overweight” from “underweight,” citing Robinhood’s prediction market plans as a “proof point” of ongoing revenue expansion.

“Rothera extends Robinhood’s distribution advantage into infrastructure,” Cyprys noted. The California-based company has consistently highlighted that prediction markets represent its fastest-growing business in company history.
