Fanatics Sports & Casino Launches Prediction Markets in Unified App

Single App Now Combines Sports Betting, Casino, and Event Contracts

Fanatics Sports & Casino has announced a major update to its mobile application, bringing together sports betting, casino gaming, and prediction markets into one seamless experience. The new integrated platform now includes event contracts, allowing users to trade on outcomes across sports, politics, and entertainment within the same app they use for wagering.

This development follows Fanatics’ acquisition of a regulated exchange from BGC Group. The move strengthens the company’s foothold in the rapidly growing prediction market sector, just as competitors scramble to capture their own share of the emerging vertical.

What the New App Offers Across States

In an official statement, the company detailed the scope of the launch:

“Fanatics Sports & Casino brings the full Fanatics gaming and prediction markets experience together in one place. Fans get the Fanatics Sportsbook — the fastest-growing sportsbook in America — in 23 states plus Washington, D.C.; Fanatics Casino in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan & West Virginia; and Fanatics Markets, the company’s federally regulated event contracts platform, in 22 states and four territories across the country.”

Age Compliance Sets Fanatics Apart

Notably, Fanatics is enforcing sports betting age requirements for its event contracts platform. This makes the company an outlier in the prediction market space and could help shield it from potential legal challenges over targeting younger demographics.

This launch comes amid significant regulatory developments. These include a court defeat for Kalshi in Nevada, as well as a New Jersey request for the U.S. Supreme Court to weigh in on the legal status of prediction markets nationwide.

Fanatics is also responding to findings from a CNN analysis, which revealed that approximately $3.9 billion of trading volume on Kalshi came from event contracts placed by individuals under the age of 18.

Despite the complex legal environment, super apps continue to gain traction among sports betting and gaming companies. These firms are expanding their offerings to build stronger gamification models, with DraftKings serving as a prominent example.

Leveraging the Fanatics Ecosystem for Customer Loyalty

Fanatics brings a unique advantage to the table: its massive ecosystem of sports apparel customers. The company is using its established pull as a merchandise retailer to drive loyalty and engagement across its gaming products.

The Fanatics One loyalty program and FanCash rewards system create a closed-loop experience. Customers earn brand currency that can be used to place bets, purchase merchandise, or both — giving users greater flexibility and choice.

Incorporating prediction markets into its platform does present certain challenges. Event contracts and traditional sportsbook bets can sometimes look nearly identical, particularly with the rise of combo and parlay markets across both segments.

Still, Fanatics is approaching this expansion from the position of an established gaming operator — albeit a relatively new entrant to the market. Rather than rushing headlong into the prediction sector, the company acquired a proven platform and is now focusing on organic growth to scale its presence.
