Behind The Gloves Brings Trading Card Activation to SBC Summit Lisbon for Midnight Mayhem
With backing from Betsson and ComeOn Group, and a fundraising target raised to €200,000, Midnight Mayhem is gaining momentum ahead of SBC Summit Lisbon. Charity boxing events tied to major iGaming trade shows have become a staple on the industry calendar, blending fundraising with high-level networking. Behind The Gloves will use SBC Summit Lisbon—opening on 29 September 2026—to launch a trading card game for Midnight Mayhem, its charity fight night scheduled for 19 January 2027 in Barcelona.
Fight Card Collection Turns the Expo Floor into a Trading Game
The Midnight Mayhem Fight Card Collection features 25 individuals from across the campaign, each rated out of 100 across several categories in the style of classic trading cards. Behind The Gloves will distribute 1,000 free packs at SBC Summit Lisbon, with six cards in each pack. Two cards have been deliberately made rare, ensuring that only ten complete collections can ever exist. Any attendee who collects all 25 cards and brings the complete set to Behind The Gloves can claim the grand prize: a VIP table at Midnight Mayhem, worth €6,500.
The concept encourages delegates to meet other attendees, find missing fighters, and trade cards across the exhibition floor. It transforms a conventional event giveaway into a three-day networking competition, introducing participants to the fighters, their stories, and the charities they represent.
Betsson and ComeOn Group Join Growing Operator Support
Betsson and ComeOn Group have both committed to Midnight Mayhem, joining Gamingtec, which was named Headline Impact Partner in July 2026. The event will see 20 iGaming figures compete across 10 bouts, as the organisation targets more than €200,000 for charity. These figures represent a step up since the campaign launched in July 2026, which began with 16 fighters and a €150,000 target.
Lee McFarland, founder of Behind The Gloves, said: “Midnight Mayhem was never supposed to be just another industry party with a boxing ring in the middle of it. We want to create one of those nights people are still talking about years later – but underneath all of the theatre, entertainment and madness there has to be a purpose. We now have 20 people from our industry preparing to step into a ring across 10 bouts, each of them fighting for something much bigger than themselves.”
McFarland added: “To already have major operators such as Betsson and ComeOn Group committing to attend shows us that the industry is getting behind what we’re trying to achieve. Our target is now to generate more than €200,000 for charity, create meaningful awareness for 25 causes, and show what can happen when this industry comes together to do some good. And before we get to Barcelona, we’re going to cause a little bit of chaos in Lisbon with the Fight Card Collection. With only ten of the rarest cards in existence, I expect SBC to turn into one enormous trading floor.”
Event Format and Charity Scope
The fight night takes place at La Paloma in Barcelona during the week of ICE Barcelona, and is staged by Behind The Gloves in partnership with WorldGaming. The evening combines professional fight-night production, premium hospitality, industry networking, and entertainment, with an afterparty running until 2am. Behind The Gloves says the event is designed to bring the entire gambling ecosystem together, spanning operators, suppliers, regulators, payments companies, affiliates, media, and compliance businesses.
