Avanti Studios Names Finance Heavyweight Jonas Ericson as CFO

New CFO Brings Wealth of Financial Expertise

Avanti Studios, a forward-thinking live casino startup, has strengthened its executive team by appointing senior finance professional Jonas Ericson as its new chief financial officer. In his role, Ericson will oversee the company’s financial strategy and operations, helping guide the firm through its next phase of growth.

Jonas Ericson Joins the Avanti Family

Ericson is no stranger to the financial world. He spent the last seven years at Klarna, the AI-driven global payments and commerce network, where he joined in January 2020 as a senior account manager. Over time, he held several key finance roles, including new products and M&A officer, group competence lead, and most recently global head of finance.

Before Klarna, Ericson served as CFO of Swedish footwear brand Eytys for three years. Earlier in his career, he was group business controller at The Chimney Pot, a full-service post-production company for feature films, TV series, and commercials. He began his finance journey at Nordea, working as a financial analyst and controller.

Ericson commented on his move, noting that leaving an established company like Klarna for a startup was a significant decision. However, he described Avanti Studios’ approach to live casino gaming as “nothing short of revolutionary” and expressed excitement about his new role.

“No one in the live casino space is even attempting the ideas that Avanti Studios has already implemented. I’m looking forward to using this position to grow the brand’s profitability and global impact as CFO.”

Gustaf Hagman, co-founder of Avanti Studios, welcomed Ericson, saying that his deep financial expertise is exactly what the company needs to execute its ambitious plans.

Avanti Studios Aims to Transform Live Casino Gaming

Avanti Studios is a bold live casino company focused on delivering game-changing products. The company previously raised €10 million to launch its live casino offering and has now reached a point where capital alone is not enough to move forward. As a result, it has been assembling a team of experts to help achieve its daring goals.

The company leverages 3D animation and motion capture technology to create innovative experiences that turn live casino gaming into a true spectacle. Avanti already has partnerships with major iGaming operators such as bet365, Entain, and Luckia, and has secured a distribution agreement with industry giant Light & Wonder.
